If you’ve ever had a soft spot for old-school ‘Cruisers, the kind that smell of oil, dust and memories, then clear your calendar. The very first NSW Classic LandCruiser Swap Meet & 4WD Show is happening this October long weekend, and Lithgow Showground is set to be crawling with old Tojo’s.
When & Where
The two-day event kicks off Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 October 2025 at the Lithgow Showground. For just $15 entry (kids 12 and under are free), you’ll get a weekend steeped in ‘Cruiser culture, community and a bit of good old-fashioned bush engineering.
What’s On
Here’s what’s in store:
- Show ’n Shine – from early 20 Series workhorses to 40s, 55s and 60s, expect the full spread of restored rigs and road-ready legends.
- Swap Meet – hunting rare parts or that piece of trim you thought didn’t exist anymore? This is the place.
- Live Music & Food Trucks – it’s not just about nuts and bolts. Local bands and good eats will keep the vibe rolling.
- Camping – pitch up for the weekend and spin yarns with other 40 Series tragics around the fire.
For the Community, By the Community
The event’s being put together by the Classic LandCruisers Club of NSW, who say it’s all about celebrating not just the vehicles, but the lifestyle they’ve built. “We’ve built this event for the community, by the community,” says spokesperson Kierran Mackenzie. “Whether you’re restoring an old Cruiser, used to own one, or just love 4WDing, bring your family along for a fun day.”
Why It Matters
No matter what your brand alliance, everyone can agree the old 40 Series ‘Cruisers are a part of Aussie history. From outback mail runs to family holidays, most of us have a Cruiser story somewhere in the mix. This show is a chance to relive it, share it, and connect with people who live and breathe the old metal.
Why Lithgow?
Nestled on the western edge of the Blue Mountains, halfway between Melbourne and Brisbane, Lithgow has long been a hub for 4X4 culture. Surrounded by tracks, trails and rugged landscapes, it’s the perfect spot to celebrate the icons — and spend a long weekend with fellow enthusiasts.
