Along with new springs and shocks, the kit from Old Man Emu comes with a castor correction kit, a replacement steering damper, a sway bar extension kit, and a trim packer (if needed). The thing we like about Old Man Emu gear is the fact that it’s engineered and real-world road tested for longevity and performance.[/text_output][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][image type=”none” float=”none” info=”none” info_place=”top” info_trigger=”hover” src=”5080″ alt=”Old Man Emu Suspension Roadtest”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][image type=”none” float=”none” info=”none” info_place=”top” info_trigger=”hover” src=”5069″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][text_output]After the suspension was fitted up, we loaded the Patrol up with gear, threw a camper trailer on the back, and took off to do ‘Brisbane to Sydney, On the Dirt’ for the Pat Callinan’s 4X4 Adventures Season 7 show and magazine. During that time we took some pretty rough tracks, testing out the suspension on bitumen, high-speed dirt, corrugations, ruts, mud and low-range ramblings. Across the board, the suspension performed really well. We encountered no problems the entire time, despite the long stints of driving with pretty big loads.[/text_output][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][image type=”none” float=”none” info=”none” info_place=”top” info_trigger=”hover” src=”5065″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][text_output]If you’re looking at doing some touring with big loads, or want to add some heavy accessories to your 4X4, we recommend looking at some aftermarket suspension options. The Old Man Emu website has a pretty flash suspension selector tool, which allows you to see exactly what kits are available for your 4X4.
