Despite the cancellation of Leisurefest for this year, the 2020 Victorian Caravan & Camping Virtual Show will go on amid challenging times, it’s been announced today.

With Metropolitan Melbourne caravan industry manufacturers and dealers closing for six weeks due to Stage 4 restrictions and regional businesses under with new Stage 3 restrictions, Caravan Industry Victoria (CIV) is pleased to announce the Victorian Caravan & Camping Virtual Show will still go ahead – just at a slightly later date.

In light of the changes, the CIV board met on August 12 and evaluated the effect the new restrictions are having on members and exhibitors’ businesses, and their ability to stage a presence at the Virtual Show in a way that will meet the expectations of consumers who attend.

Caravan Industry Victoria launched the new and innovative Victorian Caravan & Camping Virtual Show on July 24, 2020. However, in light of the restrictions and changes implemented by the Victorian State Government, the CIV board has confirmed new show dates to be September 30 to October 4, 2020.

The change of date ensures all CIV members and exhibitors who are participating will have the best opportunities to showcase their businesses to those who attend the Virtual Show. It will also ensure the visitor experience at the virtual event is one to remember.

CIV Chief Executive Rob Lucas Said; “The current situation with coronavirus, restrictions and lockdowns has been challenging not only for business, but it has also been challenging for consumers. Many are trying to support their favourite business by exploring their options, purchasing new caravans and RVs, and planning their next adventures to go make some memories around our beautiful state and country, and that has been hindered.”

However, the Victorian Caravan & Camping Virtual show will provide its virtual visitors with opportunities to view and purchase a wide range of products from caravans, motorhome, camper-trailers, camping accessories and travel destinations.

The team at Caravan Industry Victoria will continue to work behind the scenes, and consumers are encouraged to hang tight and be patient. There will be much more for you to interact with during the coming weeks.

So hit the link here and register your intention to visit the virtual show. It promises to be a different experience for those that have previously attended the traditional Victorian Caravan & Camping Supershow, and love the experience and a whole new event for the newcomer. Especially those from states other than Victoria.
