If you’re a 4X4er or just love the thrill of exploring Australia’s stunning landscapes, mark your calendars for the 2024 Canberra Caravan Camping Lifestyle Expo this weekend. It’s all going down from Friday 25th to Sunday 27th October at Exhibition Park in Canberra, and it’s shaping up to be a ripper of a weekend.

With over 140 exhibitors showcasing the latest and greatest in caravans, camping gear, and off-road accessories, this is the perfect spot to kickstart your summer holiday plans. Whether you’re on the hunt for your next RV or looking to pick up some gear for your next adventure, there’s something for everyone.

But let’s be real—there’s one name that’s bound to draw the crowds: Mr 4X4 himself, Pat Callinan. Pat will be making daily appearances. Ready to share his latest travel stories, drop some expert tips, and give you a sneak peek of what’s to come in Season 17. If you’ve ever wanted to have a yarn with the man now’s your chance!

What’s On

Aside from catching Pat’s presentations (at 11am and 1pm daily), there’s plenty of action at the Speaker Adventure Stage. You’ll get expert advice from GetAbout Tours on how to set up camp, tow safely, and get the most out of your gear. And if fishing is your thing, don’t miss NRL legend and fishing aficionado Andrew Ettingshausen (E). He’ll be sharing tales from his fishing escapades and offering some handy tips for your next trip.

Fun for the Whole Family

The Expo isn’t just for the hardcore 4X4 crowd—it’s packed with activities for the whole family. The kids can enjoy free entertainment like face painting, rock climbing, and the Spotto Kids Zone. There are giveaways and plenty of fun to keep them busy while you explore the latest rigs and accessories.

And if your four-legged mate is your best travel companion, good news—dogs are welcome too! Just make sure they’re on a lead, and they’ll be set for a day of sniffing out the action.

Taste the Region

When you’re not ogling the caravans and dreaming about your next big trip, you can tuck into some top-notch regional food and wine. With a variety of local producers showing off their finest, you can sample the best the ACT has to offer. Perfect for planning your next culinary camping adventure.

Give Towing a Go

If you’re still getting the hang of towing, Tow-Ed will be running a hands-on towing zone where you can try it out in a safe and supportive environment. It’s a great way to build your confidence before hitting the road with your new rig.

Tickets and Info

Tickets are $16 for adults and $12 for concession holders, and kids under 16 get in for free. With free parking and easy access by road and public transport, getting to the Expo couldn’t be easier.

So, if you’re keen to check out the latest in the 4X4, caravan, and camping world and have a chat with Pat, the Canberra Caravan Camping Lifestyle Expo is the place to be. See you there!
