The Broken Hill Mundi Mundi Bash has reached a new milestone, selling out with a record-breaking attendance of 14,000 festival-goers. This remarkable achievement highlights the growing allure of Australia’s outback music scene, where the blend of stunning landscapes and top-notch entertainment creates unforgettable experiences.

This year, 4X4ers, campers, and music lovers will gather at the scenic Mundi Mundi Plains outside Silverton, NSW, from August 15-17, 2024, for a spectacular three-day event that is now completely booked. However, for those still looking to kick up some dust and enjoy live music under the stars, tickets remain for the Birdsville Big Red Bash, the world’s most remote music festival, set against the iconic Big Red sand dune from July 2-4, 2024.

Why the Birdsville Big Red Bash is a Must for 4X4 Fans:

  • Limited Crowds, Unlimited Adventure: With a smaller audience cap and the unique backdrop of the Channel Country, which is currently flourishing with birdlife and wildflowers, the Birdsville Big Red Bash offers a serene and striking setting for music and nature lovers.
  • Epic Road Trips Await: The journey to Birdsville is an integral part of the adventure. Whether you’re driving a 4X4, Ute, or motorhome, the routes feature both sealed and unsealed options, adding a layer of excitement and challenge for all off-road enthusiasts.
  • Dog-Friendly Vibes: Both the campsite and concert areas are dog-friendly, making this a perfect trip for your furry friends.
  • All-Australian Lineup: Enjoy performances by Australian rock legends such as Ian Moss, Colin Hay, and Vanessa Amorosi, alongside over 30 other artists bringing a diverse mix of rock, pop, and country tunes.

Off-Stage Excitement:

Off the stage, the festival atmosphere thrives with a variety of outback activities tailored to the adventurous spirit of 4X4ers. From sunrise yoga and scenic helicopter flights to dunny door painting and charity events like the ‘Bashville Drag Race,’ there’s something to pique the interest of every attendee.

  • World Record Attempts: Join in on attempts to break the world record for the largest human image of a country during the newly introduced Big Blue Day.
  • Unique Backdrops: The festival sites not only provide a spectacular setting but are also historical cinematic locations, such as the filming sites for “Furiosa – A Mad Max Saga.”

Important Details for 4X4ers:

  • Event: Birdsville Big Red Bash
  • Location: Big Red sand dune, 35 km west of Birdsville
  • Date: July 2 – 4, 2024
