Throttle controllers aren’t exactly new in the 4X4 world. The ability to dial in the sensitivity to suit your needs is an argument won a long time ago, but Ultimate9 aren’t one for resting on their laurels. Their newest release, the Ultimate9 evcX promises to be bigger and better than any throttle controller before it. Below, we’re taking a closer look at the 8 different modes in the evcX and how they can not only save you money, but make your 4X4 perform better in the process.
Eight driving modes
The Ultimate9 evcX provides eight driving modes and 32 levels of adjustability. If you want to hit the maximum throttle enhancement, Ultimate9 mode sets the pedal response to the highest setting.
Ultimate mode
Need maximum throttle response for over taking or soft terrain? You can enhance your throttle response and choose from nine levels of sensitivity with Ultimate mode. Sure, it won’t free up any more power. But it will put the power you already have to the ground quicker. Think of it like a triple shot coffee for your engine and you’re on the right track.
Launch Mode
If you’re looking to improve your takeoffs, you’ll want to check out launch mode. It reduces wheel spin while increasing traction, allowing controlled, maximum throttle enhancement.
Adapt Mode
If you want to remove the guesswork, then have a geez at adapt mode. It chooses the best throttle response, based on your pedal input.
Eco Mode
When you’re bound up in the rocks or any other situation that needs maximum control, a twitchy throttle can be the difference between success, or breakages. Eco mode dulls your throttle right down giving smoother more predictable application of power for more control. It’ll also save you big on the fuel consumption front when you don’t need maximum response. Like all modes, you can dial in exactly how dulled down you want it to be.
Anti-slip Mode
This mode will help to increase your traction by reducing your throttle response and limiting your RPM. For those going over snow, ice and mud, you’ll be thankful for those mode allowing you to gain more control over slippery terrain.
Valet Mode
As the name suggests, valet mode is designed for parking. It reduces your throttle response and provides 50% maximum RPM. Perfect for when your mate wants to borrow your rig for a firewood run.
Factory Mode
Lending your vehicle to another driver? Factory mode replicates factory throttle settings which is ideal for someone unfamiliar with your car.
Lock Mode
This highly anticipated mode blocks all throttle input from the accelerator pedal to add an extra layer of security.
Easily installed
Developed as a plug & play product, you can throw away the tools for this one. The Ultimate9 evcX takes less than 15 minutes to install and requires no modifications. All you need to do is unplug the throttle pedal’s plug, secure the controller into the pedal, then clipping the factory plug back into the top of the controller. After that all you need to do is place the driver interface onto your dash.
Upgraded interface look
The Ultimate9 evcX features a large organic light emitting diode (OLED) interface. This allows it to effectively deliver comprehensive on-screen information. If you’re driving at night you won’t need to squint as it incorporates a self-dimming feature. It activates the dim as soon as it senses a change in lighting. Clever, huh?
Control wirelessly
Developed specifically for the evcX, you can wirelessly control the Ultimate9 evcX throttle controller via the Ultimate9 TC App. With only a touch of a screen, you can explore new modes, levels, and layouts.
The Ultimate9 evcX is available for most modern vehicles. You can check out more details at www.ultimate9.co/au.
