Well it’s official…the world’s most remote music festival has now sold out!
Over 6000 people will travel a combined 20 million kilometres to get out to Big Red near Birdsville in the Simpson Desert for The Big Red Bash, doubling the size of last year’s event, and providing a welcome $5m boost to outback tourism spending.
With a massive lineup of talent featuring throughout the event, including Jimmy Barnes, who will return for his second year at the Bash, alongside Aussie rock legend Paul Kelly. There will also be performances from Troy Cassar-Daly, Adam Brand and the Outlaws, The Angels, Christine Anu, Russell Morris, Adam Harvey, Shane Howard and Col Finley.
There will be plenty of first-time visitors to the outback including hundreds of families and almost 1000 children who will no doubt be spending plenty of time surfing Big Red during the day.
The only way to get a ticket now is as part of the dedicated event travel packages and these are expected to sell quickly. The Rock ’n’ Roll Road Trip includes a return coach trip between Brisbane and Birdsville, an adult ticket to the event, tent camping and showers at Birdsville.
But, watch this space…there may be other opportunities on the horizon for a select few.
