Boasting 200W more than the EF2000iS, the all-new Yamaha EF2200iS has launched with the ability to power some caravan air-conditioning units.
Yamaha has revealed its all-new inverter generator, the EF2200iS. On-sale in November, the EF2200iS boasts 200W more than the EF2000is, the new EF2200is sits between it and the bigger EF2400iS.
The additional 200W of grunt means the EF2200iS is a more flexible product with a lot more uses when it comes to camping and caravanning. Indeed, the 2200iS is strong enough to power some caravan air-conditioners.
Here at Mr4x4 we’ve been lucky enough to have a look at the 2200iS (review coming soon) which comes with an easy-to-use control panel, a multi-function LED indicator, an economy-mode switch, and three power outputs (two AC and one 12V DC cigarette-style plug).
Yamaha also claims the EF2200iS can run for up to 10.5 hours from its 4.7-litre fuel tank. And this is down to Yamaha’s clever ‘smart throttle’ which adjusts the engine speed to match the load, increasing fuel efficiency.
Fitted with a smart fuel drain switch, Yamaha has clearly thought about occasional use owners, meaning the fuel tank can be drained before storage of the generator. This means no more fuel leaks in the van or caravan and no stale fuel sitting in the tank. Another cool feature of the EF2200iS is the ability to pair two generators, via its ‘twin tech’ system, to increase the performance.
The EF2200iS offers a four-year warranty for peace of mind and will go on-sale in November. For more information, or to express your interest in the EF2200iS, visit:Â https://bit.ly/2pbSeJL
