If you’ve ever white-knuckled your way through a sketchy descent with a trailer behind you, you’ll know that trailer brake controllers aren’t a luxury, they’re a necessity. And REDARC just raised the bar again.
The South Aussie company have just launched the Tow-Pro Link, the latest evolution in their long-running (and widely trusted) brake controller lineup. Built with REDARC’s usual combo of rugged practicality and Aussie-engineered smarts, the new unit delivers smoother braking, faster install times, and a suite of features that’ll make seasoned tourers and weekend towers take notice.
What’s New?
Vastly different to the previous setup, the new Tow-Pro Link mounts neatly near the towbar, tucking away the main control unit and running a USB-powered remote head up front. The real kicker? It’s Bluetooth-enabled and app-controlled, meaning you can fine-tune gain, check fault codes, and even update firmware from your phone.
Meet SwayStop Plus™
One of the biggest new tricks is SwayStop Plus™. REDARC’s own sway intervention tech. If your trailer starts doing the cha-cha on a downhill run, the system steps in to brake the trailer and bring things back under control. No panic grabs, no second-guessing, just safe, hands-on-the-wheel correction.
Built Tough, Installed Easy
With a six-axis motion sensor and a sealed, gravel-bashing-resistant housing, the Tow-Pro Link is built to live under your rig and cop whatever Australia’s worst roads (or tracks) can throw at it.
REDARC reckons it cuts install time by up to 50%, which is great news whether you’re doing it yourself or paying someone by the hour. No cutting up the dash, no complex wiring looms, just plug, stick, and go.
Everyday and Off-Road Braking Modes
You get two modes:
Everyday Mode, which gives you proportional, automatic trailer braking for daily driving and highway runs
Off-Road Mode, where you control the brake manually. It’s ideal for crawling down wet clay or across technical rock sections with a trailer behind you.
Throw in a backlit LED display, auto-dimming night mode, and a control remote that sticks on with reusable nano-adhesive, and it’s clear REDARC have been listening to their customers.
Why It Matters
Let’s face it, most of us don’t tow for the fun of it. We’re towing because there’s a camper, a work trailer, or a boat that needs to get somewhere remote. And the last thing you want is tech that needs babysitting. The Tow-Pro Link offers real peace of mind, and in the world of towing, that’s worth its weight in diesel.
