Cameron Corner is the geographical meeting point of the South Australian, Queensland and New South Wales borders, and is on the way into the world famous Strzelecki Track, though it’s a beaut touring destination in its own right. Within cooee of the best of all three state’s outback areas, there’s no shortage of things to see and do. Lake Eyre and the Sturt national park are within a day’s drive and you could easily drive a loop route including the corner from any of the three states and take in some iconic outback destinations like the Oodnadatta Track and Cooper Creek to name a couple.
Camping at Cameron Corner is a fantastic way to spend a couple of days, and the fees go to the Royal Flying Doctor Service, which is definitely a worthy cause. There’s an onsite store for basic supplies and firewood so you’ll be sure to enjoy the million-star views and accommodation.
