THE MELBOURNE LOOP – THE EDGE OF WILDERNESS

Join Pat on an epic adventure just on the outskirts of Melbourne City. It doesn’t feel close to civilisation though, there are some genuinely hairy moments in this adventure! Travel from Kinglake, through Marysville and Toolangi, and then out to Jamieson. Then it’s onto Woods point, then the thick mud of Noojee! This is a great adventure, all within very easy reach for a Melburnian (or anyone, for that matter!).

HOLDEN COLORADO 7 – TESTED

The venerable Ian Glover takes us through the good and bad points of Holden’s new Colorado 7. Based on the tough Colorado dual-cab ute, The Colorado 7 has some interesting underpinnings. Can it make the transition to a family-friendly seven seater with good touring prospects? We find out.

EX-ARMY HARDWARE

Are you in the market for a tough, uncompromising 4×4? Or is a 4×4 just not enough, and you want a 6×6? Making way for the new g-Class Mercedes Benz, the Australian Army is unleashing the Land Rover 4×4 and 6×6 workhorses to the public. Do they make a good transition from their warfare ready roots? We get the down-low on these camouflaged beasts.

ROCK OF AGES

Travel the Northern Territory’s Binns Track through the eyes of Don Fuchs. This is a special track with a special story, travelling through some breathtaking countryside and views as you go north from Alice Springs, past landmarks like Ruby Gap Gorge, Tower Rock and the Old Police Station Waterhole. Don’s photography is exquisite, making for a very special story indeed.
