A brand new 2021 HiLux has been spied at an Australian port ready for dealer delivery!
This is one of the first images to surface of an Australian 2021 HiLux… spied in the metal. Some of the new HiLuxes are sitting at the Adelaide port awaiting delivery, with this image crossing our desks from Facebook land. Unless you’ve been living under a massive rock, the new 2021 HiLux is slated to be released Down Under on the next month or two, with a few differences from the last N80 facelift.
The new 2021 HiLux that we spied features the new updated front-end and has an updated version of the current 2.8-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine (1GD-FTV) making a claimed 150kW of power and 500Nm of torque, as well as a retuned suspension package that will include new shock-absorber tuning, new bushings and improved leaf-spring design. If you missed the longer piece on it, you’ll find the full write up on everything we know about the new 2021 HiLux we saw by clicking here.
From what we can tell in the images of the newly spied 2021 HiLux there appears to be both the SR and SR5 models, distinguishable by the chrome grille and alloys on the SR5, and the steel wheels and matte-grey grille on the SR.
We’re chasing up more images so we’ll update this story with more information and photos as they come to hand.
The biggest question is, what do you think of the new HiLux? Look the goods? Or has Toyota fallen off the wagon with the new front-end? Let us know in the comments below!
