Off the back of the new MY19 Isuzu range, comes the Isuzu X-RUNNER limited edition. With production set at just 645 units, the new X-RUNNER is available from $54,990 drive away, and comes in the exclusive X-RUNNER Pearl White, and Magnetic Red.
Based upon the 2019 Isuzu D-MAX 4X4 LS-T model, the X-RUNNER gains a host of standard features across the LS-T model, including electric driver’s seat, leather-accented interior, Passive Entry and Start System (push-button start), and of course the venerable 3.0-litre 4JJ1 turbo-diesel engine.
Exclusive to the X-RUNNER, are a number of exterior styling tweaks, including X-RUNNER branding across the bonnet, doors, rear quarter and tailgate. The Isuzu tailgate branding has been refreshed with a unique dark grey finish, with the front Isuzu badge refinished in bright red. Also included are a host of factory options, including rear park assist, under-rail tub liner, and a sports bar finished in satin black.
To the interior, the red and black styling continues, with X-RUNNER scuff plates, piano black finishing throughout, and red Isuzu badges and trim across the doors, dash, and steering wheel. To the dash, you’ll find soft-touch materials, with red stitched leatherette across the dashboard, doors, glove-box and console lid, with genuine leather wrapping the steering wheel. Leather-accented seats receive red perforated leather, flanked by dark leatherette on the seat bolsters and headrests, all of which are sewn with red stitching.
Managing Director of Isuzu UTE Australia, Hiroyasu Sato, said the 2019 X-RUNNER was designed to be different, to make a statement with its commanding presence and bold and unique styling.
“The D-MAX X-RUNNER was first introduced back in 2011 to great success, with the latest X-RUNNER made available in 2017 seeing even more success amongst drivers seeking a bold-looking 1-tonne ute. With a number of unique features and accessories inside and out, and bolstered by its exclusive styling and exclusive paintwork, we fully expect that the 2019 X-RUNNER will be even more successful than its predecessors,” he said.
For the Isuzu X-RUNNER limited edition model, and indeed all MY19 Isuzu models, a comprehensive ownership care package program has been initiated – Service Plus 6-6-7. This encompasses a six-year warranty, six years roadside assistance, and seven years capped price servicing.
While this is another ‘sticker pack’ so prevalent across the industry nowadays, we have to admit, the new Isuzu X-RUNNER limited edition does set off the D-MAX range.

Imagine paying $1000’s extra just to have some fancy stickers that say X-runner.. What a waste.
How about you put off-road suspension in one and see how that sells, cause at the moment just about everyone that buys a DMax has to upgrade the suspension. Just not fit for purpose.
And they say ego is not a dirty word.
