With one of the most anticipated new 4x4s on the horizon, Ford have finally shown us a sneak peek and what can be expected to his showroom floors next year. Ford Australia have just released what can only be described as an absolute tease of teaser videos with the new Ranger being put through its paces in a variety of terrains all across Australia.
If you’re after freeze-frames to pick out new additions to the T6 platform you’ll be sorely disappointed. The left-hook test mules are intentionally camouflaged to hide any body lines and bulges while careful editing has been used to hide any features people are anticipating such as coil rear and rear disc brakes. One model is seen sporting leaf springs while a second has a skirt hiding the rear suspension. It’s an indication of potentially different suspension levels depending on the spec-level chosen. The only thing that can really be ascertained from the video is the new Ranger isn’t far off; and Ford are placing a lot of emphasis on not only performance but off-road ability.
