South Australian manufacturer REDARC has announced the launch of its new REDLAB Lithium Adventure Battery range. A next-generation off-grid power solution designed to survive the same punishing conditions that 4X4ers are known for putting their rigs through.
Available in 100Ah, 200Ah, and 300Ah capacities, the REDLAB Icon Series marks a step up in durability and safety, aimed squarely at 4X4ers, campers, and tourers running high-demand electrical setups.

Designed for the Harsh Stuff
The REDLAB series carries an IP67 rating, meaning the batteries are fully sealed against dust and can handle immersion in up to a metre of water for 30 minutes. That makes them suitable for use in creek crossings, mud, and red dust, all the places that’ll put batteries to the test.
REDARC says the units were “pushed through some of the harshest testing in Australia” to ensure reliability under vibration, heat, and heavy discharge loads. They’re also rated for more than 6000 charge cycles, which should equate to years of service even in big-lap tourers.
Built for Modern Off-Grid Power Systems
Each battery is compatible with REDARC’s inverter range and can deliver continuous discharge capable of running heavy appliances. The Icon100 suits compact systems, while the Icon300 can power a 3000W inverter from a single battery, something that once required multiple units.
Other practical features include a built-in state of charge display, series and parallel compatibility, and a heated battery management system that maintains performance in cold climates. An integrated isolation switch and IEC 62619:2022 certification round out the safety credentials.

A Local Company Still Building Tough Gear
REDARC’s Product Manager Albert Atkins said the project came about in response to growing demand for robust lithium options:
“We heard the call for the latest in lithium battery development to be delivered by the same brand customers trust to power the rest of their system,” he said. “Every REDLAB battery is built to earn that red top. When people see it, they know they can trust it.”
The batteries will be joined by a line of mounting brackets to simplify installation, and are available now through REDARC’s dealer network.
