The 2017 Big Red Bash is looming this year, and is gearing up to be an epic return to it’s spiritual home at the base of Big Red. Big rainfalls and deteriorating road conditions last year saw the event get moved into town, setting up shop right between two other icons: the bakery and the pub.
Artists performing at the 2017 Big Red Bash: Missy Higgins, Lee Kernaghan, James Reyne and Mark Seymour, as well as performances by Ian Moss, Ray Ryder, Kate Ceberano, Russell Morris, James Blundell, Christie Lamb, The McClymonts, The Wolfe Brothers, Tania Kernaghan and Troy Cassar-Daley. Comedy duo, The Crack Up Sisters will MC the event.
The team organising what’s billed as the most remote music festival in the world, are looking bolster their ranks of volunteers for the event. If you’re keen to get out there and don’t mind doing a couple of shifts as a volunteer, then this is the perfect opportunity for you.
For your work, you’ll score free tickets to the three-day event at the foot of Big Red. You’ll also get access to some quality staff camping close to the stage, and get some sweet merchandise as well. Of course, you’ll need to be self-sufficient: BYO camping gear, food, water and supplies.
