We’ve tried all sorts of methods to carry tools on trips around here: metal and plastic toolboxes, tool bags, even cheap plastic storage boxes. Now we have something a little more refined and a lot more robust: the Atlas46 Yorktown tool roll.
This tool roll is made from Cordura, a tough, wear-resistant material born out of World War 2. It has similar properties to canvas, but being synthetic nylon won’t hold moisture and rot. There’s a heap of velcro and YKK zips providing functionality and endurance. The big buckles save fumbling too.
My own spanner set was in the original roll it came in from my local auto parts store, aka supercrap. The spanners are good but a couple of the pouches have punched through and it never tied up properly to start with. This product from Atlas46 is a lot more robust and being a general purpose tool roll can be tailored to suit the spanners, sockets, screwdrivers and even your favourite vice grips. The double-sided design makes it easy to find tools, laying out the spanners logically. You won’t lose your notorious 10mm socket in the bottom of this roll.
