The Nissan Rogue Trail Warrior Project (Read: Nissan X-trail Concept) made its debut at the New York International Auto Show.
As far as ‘situation normal’ goes for the New York International Auto Show, it’s a fantastic platform for the manufacturers to bring out some rather silly, yet awesome designs and this year Nissan has delivered again.
Two features dominate the appearance of the Nissan Rogue Trail Warrior. First, is the exterior work; Digi-Camo body wrap, yellow-tinted lights and window glass, and the Khaki painted tracks.
And then there’s the sand/snow tracks. These replace the factory wheels and tyres completely, are 48 inches long, 15 inches wide, and 30 inches high. The suspension and guards are modified to fit the tracks, but everything else is bog stock. That includes the standard AWD Driveline, 170 horsepower 2.5L four pot engine and Xtronic transmission.
The Rogue Trail Warrior is rounded out with a set of wider flares, ARB roof cage, a few LED Light Bars, and a baby Warn 4K winch.
Fortunately, this Rogue, which is the American version of the X-Trail, is a concept vehicle only, so you’ll not have to worry about these things sitting out front of the local high school on the school run, or navigating the IKEA car park just yet.
If you’re game – there is a rather poorly executed video, with even worse music for your viewing pleasure:
