Piranha have recently unveiled a a dual battery management system, which will run a a twelve volt system at 180 amps, and runs with spike protection. It’s called the DBE 180 SX.

Keeping your starter and auxiliary battery separate, it will ensure both are kept topped up correctly, giving preference to your starter. Vehicle Protection Function (VPF) ensures electrical faults don’t cause bigger issues, by shutting off the isolator until the problem is resolved. Got solar? The DBE 180-SX can work with that, too.

It costs $425, and comes with a two-year warranty. If it is installed at an approved outlet, that warranty gets bumped out to five years.
